Dear Business Owner,
We want to inform you of an exciting opportunity to partner with the City of Houston Police Department to reduce crime and take a proactive position to eliminate criminal activity in the Near Northside community. As many of you are aware, the Near Northside Area, or the 2 Adam beat as referred to by HPD, has a high incidence of person- on- person crime. HPD is bringing “Keep Houston SAFE” into our community to assist with this issue. “Keep Houston SAFE” is a citywide collaborative partnership between citizens, businesses, and the Houston Police Department.
The Greater Northside Management District is participating in this collaborative effort to assist in the reduction of crime in our community. We will assist by providing signs and materials to all businesses in the designated area wishing to participate. There are also opportunities for businesses to host an event to further educate the community on “Keep Houston SAFE” and how to reduce crime in our community. HPD is looking for opportunities to bring their surveillance vehicle “MCOPS” out to the community to provide education and outreach to the public.
One of the components of this collaboration is education; HPD will be providing crime prevention material and needs your assistance to get them out to the public. This is a wonderful opportunity to help your customers, clients, and neighbors receive this educational material and reduce crime in our community.
